About Steve Lawson

Founder, Unbroken Investing. Steve has dedicated his entire 30 year professional career to helping people invest, including nearly 10 years as a financial advisor and 15 years helping people invest in real estate. However, by following the recommended traditional strategies, he found himself 25 years into his career, but still decades away from having the financial freedom to retire stress-free.

That is when he changed his focus to cash-flow and diversification. This innovative approach quickly took him from almost nothing to $30,000 in passive MONTHLY cash flow within five years. He founded Infinite Passive Assets to show people how to do the same thing he did. He created the Unbroken Investing community to consolidate all the necessary tools into one place, while providing access to others going through the same journey as well as direct access to himself for questions and answers.

More About Steve

Steve graduated with degrees in both Accounting and Finance from Indiana University School of Business and spent nearly 10 years as a financial advisor. During this time, he earned the CFP designation with advanced coursework in risk management, portfolio management, estate planning, and tax planning.

But after nearly ten years, he realized that real estate was a better tool for his clients to create wealth than stocks, bonds or other vehicles, so he switched to real estate in 2002. His initial focus was selling pre-construction condos as rental investments.

In 2011, he started providing real estate investors with turnkey rental properties. By 2016, he was buying, rehabbing, placing tenants (through his own property management company) and selling 8-12 single family homes per month. His company sold over 300 of these properties between 2014 and 2016. During this time (2015) he was named as one of the 10 Best Financial Advisors in Indiana by Forbes magazine. He was the only one on the list who helped people invest in real estate instead of the stock markets.

In 2017, investor demand changed from wanting Turnkey Rentals to wanting to provide value, so he switched to traditional wholesaling...and helping investors rehab their rentals if needed. This is when he created Indy Home Vault. By 2019, he entered other markets and changed the name to US Home Vault.

Over the last few years, he has remained a student of business and real estate investing. He attended workshops and became a coaching student of Ron LeGrand, the “grandfather” of the No Money Down programs. He is also a graduate of Marko Rubel’s “Million Dollar Real Estate Profits” and Jay Conner’s “Real Estate Cash Flow” program and Brent Kesler’s “Millionaire Mastery.” He was proud to be a member of the original Collective Genius mastermind group with their goal of organizing the 100 brightest minds in real estate.

In 2019, he looked at his personal investment portfolio and realized that 95% of it was in real estate. Although passionate about real estate, he also knew that he needed better diversification. At the same time, he was looking ahead four years to when he would have two kids in college at the same time. He went on a mission to create enough passive cash flow to pay for college for both of them ONLY using passive cash flow.

Although it started slowly, it quickly snowballed and his passive cash flow exceeded his goals. He realized that many of his real estate investing clients would greatly benefit from the passive cash flow tools he was using, so he created Infinite Passive Assets to educate and coach investors on these strategies. The name of the program is the Financial Freedom Fast-Track. He then created the Unbroken Investing community so that investors going through this journey could interact with each other and support one another.
